Bendholm Caravan Park

Who we are

We operate six stunning parks across the North West of England, Yorkshire and Scotland, each set in peaceful, rural surroundings that provide the perfect environment for relaxation and escape.

About Us

Bendholm Caravan Park is a small, family-friendly park on a quiet country lane just outside the village of Eggleston in Teesdale. It sits in the North Pennines National Landscape, surrounded by grouse moorland and rolling countryside. Many holiday homes back onto a gentle stream that feeds the River Tees or onto woodland, and the gardens are full of wildlife. Open all year, with Barnard Castle, High Force waterfall and the Bowes Museum close by, Bendholm is a great base for exploring Teesdale and the North Pennines.

The countryside

Bendholm sits in Teesdale, inside the North Pennines National Landscape and UNESCO Global Geopark. Step out from the park and you're straight into open moorland, river valleys and quiet country lanes. The Teesdale Way runs nearby for walkers, Hamsterley Forest has miles of trails for mountain biking, and fishing on the River Tees is available by licence. It's a great spot for anyone who loves the outdoors.

Barnard Castle and nearby towns

The historic market town of Barnard Castle is a short drive from the park. Explore the castle ruins above the River Tees, visit the Bowes Museum, or browse the independent shops and the monthly farmers market. Raby Castle, Rokeby Park and Eggleston Hall Gardens are all close by too, so there's plenty to see on days when you fancy a change from the countryside.

Days out and village life

High Force, one of England's most impressive waterfalls, is just up the dale and well worth a visit. In summer you can swim in the open-air pool at Stanhope or catch one of the local agricultural shows at Eggleston, Stanhope or Wolsingham. Golf, pony trekking and riding centres are all within easy reach, and the village pubs in Eggleston are ideal for a meal after a day out.
