Kippford Bay Caravan Park

Who we are

We operate six stunning parks across the North West of England, Yorkshire and Scotland, each set in peaceful, rural surroundings that provide the perfect environment for relaxation and escape.

About Us

Looking for a proper escape on Scotland’s southwest coast? Kippford Bay Caravan Park is a relaxed spot with as much or as little going on as you like — from mountain biking, kayaking and walks, to easy days by the beach or in the village just down the road. There are good pubs, great views, and a real sense of community, especially over at The Tee Room Bar and Golf Club with golf, quiz nights and live entertainment. It’s not just somewhere to stay — it’s somewhere to switch off. Come and see it for yourself.

Kippford village and the estuary

Kippford is a pretty seaside village on the Urr estuary, popular with sailors and walkers alike. Watch the boats come and go from the harbour, enjoy a meal at one of the waterside pubs, or take in the views across the estuary as the tide rolls in. It's a peaceful spot with a real sense of community, ideal for slowing down and relaxing.

Coastal walks and wildlife

The Jubilee Path links Kippford with the neighbouring village of Rockcliffe, passing the ancient hillfort at the Mote of Mark along the way. At low tide you can walk across to Rough Island bird reserve, and the wider Colvend coast is full of quiet coves and sandy beaches, with Sandyhills a favourite for families. Keen walkers can also head up Screel Hill or Criffel for views across the Solway.

Local towns and days out

The granite town of Dalbeattie is just a few minutes away for shops and everyday amenities, and its forest is home to one of the 7stanes mountain biking centres. Further afield, Castle Douglas is known for its local food, Kirkcudbright for its artists and galleries, and history lovers can visit Sweetheart Abbey, Orchardton Tower and Threave Castle.
